About T&S Specialized Care

Yes, all services listed under T&S Specialized Care for APAC are borne by the company.

T&S Specialized Care is accessible in China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam.

Intellect is the provider for both ByteDance EAP and T&S Specialized Care (APAC).

T&S Specialized Care is an additional layer of clinical support and care provided by Intellect, catering specifically to T&S employees due to the unique nature of T&S employees’ work.

T&S employees can access a curated selection of Intellect clinicians, who are specially trained to understand and address the unique challenges faced by T&S employees, and are focused on providing individual and group-based psychological support.


EAP, also by Intellect, is available for all Bytedance employees, including Trust & Safety employees. It is focused on providing holistic wellbeing support including nutritional, fitness, legal, financial, and mental health matters. For a full list of services offered by EAP, please visit

Your information will be kept private and confidential. All data within Intellect’s platform is protected through zero-knowledge encryption and transmission, including all audio and video transmissions. When you use any of Intellect’ services, no personal and identifiable data will be shared with your employer or manager without your permission, except as required by law or stipulated health guidelines.

About Services

All Intellect clinicians have met the qualification standards prescribed by the relevant country’s regulatory body and have obtained a Master’s degree in Counselling or Clinical Psychology. They also have a broad range of clinical expertise, experience and are well informed on providing Specialized Care to you. When exploring the “Book Now” option under Individualized Care, you will be able to see profiles of Intellect’s clinicians.

While there is no limit to accessing any of these services, individuals are entitled up to 16 one-to-one counselling per case.

There will not be any cost to you. While our clinicians work on a one-hour session duration per booking, Intellect understands that the scope of sessions/presenting challenges you might face might require extensions. Intellect will advise on the frequency and/or duration per session for the care you need and pre-schedule them accordingly. Intellect manages these arrangements with the T&S Wellbeing Team to ensure your wellbeing needs are prioritized.

You may reschedule / cancel a booked session directly on the microsite. Simply access your booked session and toggle next to the “Join” button to see options for rescheduling or cancelling the session.

We strongly advise all employees who wish to reschedule or cancel booked sessions to do so at least 24 hours in advance, allowing others to take the available slot.

Intellect’s services are available in English and primary country languages such as Mandarin, Vietnamese, Thai, Korean, Tagalog, Bahasa Melayu, Japanese, Bahasa Indonesia and Hindi.

Yes, you can access 1:1 support after you have left the company, regardless of your exit reasons. We refer to this as your post-employment care. Your post-employment care includes a total of 16 counseling sessions, available within a 6-month period starting from the conclusion of your employment.

Access information will be provided to you during the offboarding process. Please contact your local HRBP to understand the eligibility criteria and process of accessing post-employment wellbeing support.

What numbers should I call for Intellect's 24/7 Helpline when I need mental wellbeing assistance, or local emergency service numbers if my colleague or myself are in urgent distress or medical needs?
